02 Your Job

Tasks.

As process application engineer in Singapore, you will be an important team member in our research and development team with regards to how to perform chemical processing onto semiconductor wafer using our equipment product. You will work with internal company team members in Singapore, Europe and USA encompassing operations, sales & marketing, production, R&D as well as our worldwide suppliers and our joint lab partner in Institute of Microelectronics Singapore (A*STAR, IME).

You will have a pivotal role in ensuing Company’s products are well received by customers and ensure our customers’ long- term success by providing value-adding solutions.

The Employee’s main duties and responsibilities are as follows:

  • Member of a small team of engineers in charge of process application development and its lab equipment

  • Close work with design and development team in software, mechanical and electrical engineering to implement new hardware and software features; perform hands-on equipment install & upgrade at process application lab

  • Equipment finetuning and adjustments

  • Perform experiment and pilot production wafer runs with wet chemistries in process applications lab

  • Optimize equipment and chemical process parameters using data collection and analysis techniques such as Design of Experiment (DOE), Total Process Control (TPC) and statistics analysis.

  • Statistical analysis software such as JMP, Minitab, etc.

  • Perform modeling & mathematical calculation using principles in thermodynamics & heat transfer, mass transfer, chemical reactions, chemical reactor design, separation processes, inorganic chemistry and environmental engineering

  • Work with production & operations team to implement new equipment product roll-out and qualify chemistry process recipes and applications at internal sites as well as customers’ sites.

  • Form creative ideas individually as well as in teams; work on research papers, publications and/or patents; prepare for technical conference & symposium

  • Support documentation technical editor for above as well as equipment documentation topics

  • Support Company in equipment manufacturing and development both proactively and if required
  • Discussion with internal Company team and if necessary, external vendors on the application and requirement from the customer

  • Support Company in sales & marketing, process application to customer both proactively and if required
  • Any other ad-hoc duties assigned by Manager

Skills.

Our ideal candidate has hands-on hardware experience in industrial, technology or manufacturing equipment. Furthermore, he/she must be willing to handle wet chemicals and work in clean room environment.

Furthermore, you need to recognize yourself in the profile described:

  • Results-oriented, customer-centric, problem-solving and hands-on mentality

  • Good interpersonal skills, both on an individual and team basis

  • Highly motivated to execute a defined mission and strategy to achieve pre-defined target

  • Experience working in an internal environment dealing with international staff and culture

  • Bachelor degree graduates, or near degree completion in chemical engineering, material science, mechatronics engineering or related field

  • Strong communication skills – fluent in written and oral English; able to write English publications and hold oral presentation

  • Well versed in using MS office
